Outstanding Novice Award.

This award was first issued in September 2007 in recognition of the novice junior student who applied themselves the best to the studies of their karate. This includes frequency of training, effort in class and general attitude to teachers and other students.

Number of novice students joining dropped a lot after that so it was not appropriate to make the award on a regular basis.

October 2011 - Lucy Chapman was awarded 'Outstanding Novice' for her excellent attitude and techniques displayed at the grading.
January 2011 - Jarad Young was given the award at the grading event due to his superior effort and attitude in the class of novices.
