We have clubs in various areas of
Kent, see list to the left of this text, and will continue to explore
opportunities for more clubs to expand our opportunities for students to
train with minimal travel inconveniance.
Our teaching is based on the
Shotokan system founded by masters Anko Itosu and Gichin Funakoshi from the
Shuri-te systems of the ryukyu Islands.
We teach different aspects of the
system to children and adults so lessons are conducted separately. Children
may join the adult lessons form the age of 16 if considered suitably mature
by the instructors.
On Saturdays we also teach
Kenjutsu to students of 14 years and older.
Our Affiliate clubs are those who
share our views and ethics on Karate and the teaching of it. They have an
interest in Seito (orthodox) karate as a system of civil defence and a
method of personal development.
